Can't get Direct Tv in my house so I use Comcast cable with DVR.

Wondering if anyone uses Verizon and what their package is like.

I would really like a college football package.

Does Tivo offer anything that my DVR does not?

I had direct TV, and switched to comcast.

At first, it seemed so awesome. I am slowly starting to regret it.

When I go LCD with HD, I'm almost sure I am switching back.

And FIOS wont be where I live for like 2 years, so that isnt even an option.

get the illegal Dishnetwork setup at your house. when they hit the dish once a month, it takes two seconds to lookup the new numbers online and put them in the receiver. You get almost every possible college football game (including the ESPN package games) on Dishnetwork along with 500 other channels of PPV and all sports and everything.

Well worth the $200 fee and all you ever have to do is re-program the thing once every few months and it takes a few minutes to do yourself.

Comcast is a total price gouge. 60 internet 60 super basic cable.

It's a joke.

FIOS cant get here fast enough. And DSL is too slow.

I've got the same thing, and it is absolutely great. One of the best investments I ever made. I have a Pansat 3500SD which makes it very easy to program, using a SD card that is included. I got the reciever and SD card all for about $150 shipped off of eBay last Spring. I also am running Rom102 to pick up Bev (Canadian) channels. It is complicated but worth it because I have the 501 PVR from DN running so I can record everything to the hard drive with ease.

Have you ever tuned in to the channel/program called PIRATE TV...some really funny shit with a guy from DishNetwork that comes on and says 'If you are watching me right now, you are illegally stealing a signal, please do the right thing and call us'. LOL!

All of them. They have some many ALTERNATE SPORTS channels on there and added sports channels that have pretty much every damn game in every damn sport. So yeah all the games are on there picked up from different affiliates. Its outstanding, with all the sports PPVs and movies too.

I'm from Snohomish County, Monroe to be exact.

Cool I use to work in Monroe.

I chat with a couple of rx'ers from here and were going to get together one Sunday at a casino and watch football.

Told them I;d strart a thread when NFL finally gets here.

Hopefully we decide on Tulalip that would be good for you and me huh.

Get my e-mail from a mod.

Yep, sure have. One time I tuned into it and they were interviewing some head of DN talking all this shit about people stealing the signals and being unfair to others and that they were going to change things so that we couldn't do it anymore. Pretty funny but I have so many channels now that I haven't been on that channel for maybe 6 months. I'll have to go find it again to give myself a chuckle! :missingte

Would love to know the percentage of people who actually listen to that douchebag, pickup their phones and call in their illegal dishes. :puppy:

Probably quite a few people. I know a few local people who sell all of the equipment and stuff (Dish, FTA reciever) to people saying it is "discounted" satellite. He asks for like $50 every 3 months and he will send you an email with the BIN files attached when they come out. People probably don't know it is illegal until they come upon that channel, and they'll call DN asking about it scared shitless.

My parents' house has Verizon.
My brothers use it more than me, seems ok to me, I can't get used to the damn remote though. And there's no page up/page down on the guide either.

I have Cox cable right now (No FIOS yet in my neighborhood), but I like their customer service. Verizon customer service is as bad as it gets.
