Percentage of your annual income at a so-called real job that currently sits in betting accounts?

20% for me at the moment.

well it depends if you count sports wagering as an income also. If so around 15%. If not around 20%.

Not sure I really have a bankroll. Been thinking about what a few others say about this and have come to the conclusion that I don't.

If I lost 10k (even though my BR is bigger than that), I may need to stop and re-evaluate somethings but I am sure I would start back up.

The key question is how many actually have a bankroll?

Many, many do. You have to. I do of course. Most things (like betting amounts) are contingent on your bankroll. Being discliplined and organized are huge. Boring but important. Also the better the gambler the more likely he is to have a bankroll.

My point is my bankroll is infinite or as high as my life savings is. As long as I have money I will continue to bet.

Also many many don't because most just bet for the fun of it and don't allocate money for just gambling. They just throw money into an account or bet with a bookie and pay up when it is time to square up.

Right. The casual gambler like many here just bet and and pay what they owe.

If you are a little more serious then it is different.

I am with Iceman here ... I have no idea what a bankroll is.

ANY DEGENERATE WHO HAS A BANKROLL, WILL LOSE IT ... AND WILL SOMEHOW ATTAIN ANOTHER BANKROLL.

This might hurt the feelings of some people here who consider themselves to be "pros" but we all know that 95%-98% of the people out there do NOT make money gambling.

Wrong. The definition of "bankroll" is as much money as you are willing to risk. Just because you allocate 10k as "bankroll" does not mean this is your total bankroll, since you may be willing to "re-up" if you lose it.

EVERYONE has a bankroll. It may only be enough to cover one bet, or it may be the amount they lose over a lifetime. Whatever you are willing to risk before saying "this is enough" is your true bankroll. Most people do not actually not their true bankroll amount.

I only use 'extra' non-household income to gamble with. Sounds odd but I do it. Selling shit on EBAY, sidejobs, modding etc. etc.

Wife does all the bills.

I miss bonuses and contests.

I just took a huge paycut so I really have to pick and choose my spots. I went from $46k and year to 26k. I was promised a good job with better hours but I had to start at the bottom for a few months until they could create a position for me. I really hope I get it before football season. I'll go crazy if I can't wager on any games. I won over 10k the past two seasons. Football has been very good to me. I've got a little set aside but I don't think it's enough.

Funny, I do not have a bankroll, per se. I just load, w/draw, pay/collect more or less. I don't have a set amount at the beginning of a season.
Now, this does not mean that I don"t practice good money management. I do..............it is one of my rules.

I have no bankroll and no money management.

I always start with $500 pound the crap out of it like the way I hold the banker at a Baccarat table. If I win, I win $6000 or more.

And if I lose, so be it. I'll start with $500 again.

Can't see anyone dicking around $25 a game and expect to eat lobster or fillet mignon?

more like $1 meal at fastfood.

I also don't have a bankroll. LOL Not sure how that would fly with the wife. Thats why I find it funny as hell when people say never bet more than a certain % of your bankroll. LOL That was always funny to me.

5Team I do the same thing. Hell almost all my poker money was spent on my vacation. We took no money out from the bank for it.

Great topic for a thread. What else do people do to have money to gamble with?

In my opinion a bankroll is for those that do not win over and over again. Absolutely no need whatsoever for a defined bankroll if you never have a losing month.
