I had the right team the last four wagers and lost every game because I layed 1.5. It was working well for me early but losing 8k this week all on run line plays really hurts. I wish football would start.

That's why -1 comes in handy!!

Don`t Like The Added Eposure Using The -1

formula, i.e. NYY, RSx, Mets, Brew, Fl, LN. I agree it`s a bitch to lose by the hook, and yes Foots is only 46 days and counting. But taking the big ML favs can also be a disaster. I`m a little ahead taking the rd RL using run producing tms vs the opposite. Used Mil, Phil, LAA & Tribe quite a bit. There is no easy rd in MLB. Old Culver @ EOG plays Dogs & unders almost exclusively. When he does bet a chalk he seems to hit a hi %. I`m just treading water till 8/30 BOL Harrington & all.

got lucky with a couple run lines early in the year, never lost one. mbut stopped because i realized just how devastating and disapointing they can be. its the ml or -1 for me from here out.

-1 run line its paintfull too when you see other players winning on ml and you voiding on -1 instead of cash in, i suggest to play -1 only on lines bigger then -170 in this way you have a chance to reduce that high juice.

i wonder how many of those -1.5 would have been winners had you bet the team - 1/2 for 5 innings ..

were they all leading after 5 ?

imo it may be money well spent if you can stop now and stay away from run lines.imo teasers, runlines and NO.1 parlays are suckers bets and for some people it take them losing a lot of money to find this out,but for most they all find this out in time...gl ck

I agree. I have been gambling for over 30 years and I have never bet a teaser or parlay. I have no idea why I didn't include run lines as being sucker bets until now. I hit a bunch early on so I won't say they have cost me overall but they just leave a bad taste when you had the right side but all four teams only won by a run.

I wouldn't say they're sucker bets. I really don't play them (Unless I'm betting on a big road favorite) but if your betting -1 runs, all your doing is changing your win/loss record on the year. I think more then likely you're going to have the same net units at the end of the season. (Unless your really unlucky)

It is hard enough to pick winners outright. Have never seen the reason to be on the right side of baseball game and lose because they only win by 1.

Sorry about your luck Harrington.

I hear ya. I would have hit all four but instead I lost all four.

I know the expierence on this thread can not believe that runlines are sucker bets. I am sure a few of you are frustrated. They all carry a 50/50 wager where you pay your 10 cents juice if you lose (at the right books). That is not a sucker bet.

Betting huge favorites -1.5 are in my expiernces the worst way to bet runlines but that is a different story. Those are going to be the runlines that will lose by winning by 1 run the most. You just have to accept that as the luxury of paying alot less juice.

Harrington,
It is 1 losing bet shake it off buddy. You will get it back. Good luck!!!

run lines are usually a twenty cent line. why play a 20 cent line, when there are plenty of dime lines avail, if u just bet the regular games? i'd say that most of the players playing run lines are betting into a 20 cent line.
