NFL without PINNACLE ..............
<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Been doing some early homework , and am wondering what most here are going to do come Football season ?? Without reduced juice, dropdown boxes , the hassle of moving funds etc. , what are the the options yu guys are considering this upcomig season?? Let's face it , laying -110 (or more) just 'aint gonna cut it, if you lay -110 every week ,you will not win ,plain a simple math fact, unless you are VERY GOOD. For me personally , the loss of certain options I could only get at PINN during baseball , (eg TT'S, 5 inning lines etc.), REALLY hurt my bottom line this year , to the point it became an exercise in futility. Now I know thats not the ONLY reason , but in going over my records the prev two years for example , approx. 40% of my earn was from TT's , I know a few books still offer them , but w/o NETELLER I have no desire to wait weeks for a payout, so availed myself of the only debit card shop out there. This however , put me in a box w/ regard to the wagering options avail at his book , and I was pretty much forced to take whatever their best number was, even if it was not one I was looking for. I know that MB was good as far as finding the best number , but again , cash flow is a priority for me , so tying up a lot of money at a book was not appealing to me , I like to have access to my money WHEN I WANT IT , not a check that takes weeks to arrive , and takes days to clear my bank, not too mention red flags if too many start hittin come football. I think it would be naive to think that the fed gov't will not be watching the direction the offshore world will take come the first full season w/o NETELLER and I have seriousoncerns this upcoming season w/ the offshore industry.
Are we going to be forced to choke on -110 , or go back to the dinosaur ages and have runners all over Vegas trying to shop openers just to gain a smal edge, or resort to your old local dealing shit lines, and meets up w/ you weekly to settle , knowing you are forced to take whatevere is dealing? I mean , who here feels your money is never TRULY safe offshore now , considering the events of the past few months .
My feeling was, somebody w/ the balls to stand up to an arrogant and self-righteous US gov't would step into the breach , esp. in light of the WTO's ruling against the US in their appeal of the WTO'S initial ruling against them . That has not happened, though there may be a workaround yet to be disclosed. Considering the scope and sheer demand come football , why has there not been SOMETHING done to fill a demand that is clearly there ??? Is there NOBODY w/ the balls and financial wherewithall to fil this need ?? Seems unbelievable to me that w/ less than two months before the season is set to start , nobody has stepped up and takin a stand vs. the US, and their arrogant assumption that you cannot do w/ YOUR money as you see fit. For crissake , all they gotta do is look across the pond at the UK and see how profitable this could be FOR THEM if they chose to tax/regulate it, (although they would probaly fuk that up as bad as as they fuck up up every other thing they get their hands on)So, instead of copping a patendly absurd moral position that they are "protecting" us from terrorists and money launderers, why doesn't the us Gov't adopt the very concept that has made this one of the worlds most powerful countries on the planet , FREE MARKET ENTERPRISE, and apply it here ?? Are they too stupid ?? Do they not bet games, COME ON , the hypocrites that are supposed to answer to US , as the citizens who elect them to represent our interests, are instead doing the exact opposite. Did they learn nothing from the Volstead act banning liqour in the 1930's that allowed org. crime a free reign to fill a demand that was obviously not going away. Fuck ,if you want to outlaw something , outlaw tobacco , the nUmber one causeof heart disease and cancer in thiscountry !! In full disclosure, I smoke , but if they did outlaw cigarettes it wouldn't botherme a bit , as I would be priced out of the market by black market profiteers that I would not pay on principle alone , forget the cost !!!! The war on drugs has failed , the war on poverty has failed , the war on terror is a joke , and we as a country sit idly by and let these clowns dictate their version of morality to us !!!! When does the apathy end ?? When do we as citizenssay enough is enoughand take a stand ?? This country was founded on three common ideals ,LIFE ,LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT HAPPINESS. We left a country that dictaed tous what our religous belifs should be and what THE KING felt was moral or immorall
and founded a democarcy based on REPRESENTATIVE rule . But we as a people are allowing our leaders to slowly take away the very things this country was founded on, yet I hear no seious cries for reform , just a dumber and dumber nation of subservient people.
Anyway ,not too get off on a rant here , but was just curious as to waht the seroius guys here plan to this season , faced w/ these facts. I have worked in the past w/ a group of serious football "investors" and we are considering options, but I would really like some input from you guys as to your feelings and plans this upcomig season. I have heard some good ideas put forth by some pretty sharp guys and would aprreciate any and all thoughts you folks might have. Sorry for the rant , but ENOUGH is ENOUGH , IT'S MY FUCKING MONEY , and I should be allowed to do with it as I see fit in the land of the free and the home of the brave !!!!
Like I said , there are some options we a sa group are considering this season, but franky theyare cubersome and require a lotof tme and effort , so please ,take some time , give this some thought and please try to contributr your thoughts regarding these issues , and I will in turn share what we think is a workable plan.

"those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat it" ,time to wake up folks , this is OUR gov't, we elect 'em ,we can and shouldbe heard !!!!!

Great post Jimmy, but the idea of FREE MARKET ENTERPRISE here and most places is more of a pipedream than reality.

Good post, but seriously, what are you gonna do? Write your senator? Go to the White House and start preaching? The only thing you can do is carry on the best you can with the options that are still available.

I can appreciate your frustration. It wont be the same and I'm not sure if it ever will be again. Although I think that once the season kicks off alot of the uncertainty, frustration and negative events of the past 6 months will be moved to the backburner. Gamblers are very resourceful and will somehow make the system work no doubt.

Agree with most everything you are saying, but I'm afraid the -110 is here to stay...hopefully there will be better options to transfer funds before football season...

It won't be the same....ever. But in due time, you will not even need to move your money offshore. The US gov will being to regulate online gambling at some point in the future.

It will be different without that -104 Pinnacle offered. Best suggestions would be having an account with a book that offers a promotion or two during the season. For example, BetJamaica offered -105 juice on Friday nights. Some others like sportsbook.com also had that. Carib and some others sometimes have free half point days early in the week. The Pig also offered -108 all season and had a free half point on the NFL if you bet every game on the board. It won't be the same, but there are some promotions out there that help.

Not willing to sweat whether my money is safe every week if a rogue book goes down and starts claiming "you r gov't is to blame , what can we do" . Have a feeling some of these smaller shops may start to disappear once they see that w/o NT , getting post up money is gonna be a problem and they pull a ROYAL on us. My feeling is , there HAS to be a legal way to get money into a PINNY acct. w/o going through am American bank . May be as simple as finding a TRUSTED individual w/ access to PINNY , who can process the funding , although that has issues all its own.

I always thought with the way Pinnacle exited the market and paid all players that they were eyeing an eventual return. Couldn't they reorganize and cut everybody with US ties in the company out and then reopen? There are still a lot of sportsbooks still in business with US customers, and I believe Betcris (switched to Bookmaker) did a similar juggling act to retain their US base.

If anybody has the REAL scoop on why Pinny left I'd love to hear it. Perhaps the FEDS really have someone at Pinncale by the balls.

Really! I don't know why Pinny doesn't reopen. I don't even know why they closed. Not the real story.

But nothing is going to happen here because people sit on their thumbs and don't let their representatives know what they really want. I'm as guilty of it as anyone else and I'm a hard core gambler.

I guess no one can open a Pinnacle type shop because they don't have the personal to run it properly. I've never seen any other shop express an opinion like they do. They've got some balls.

My guy will not talk to me. He and all his aides avoided me like you would not believe. I realize this is the norm with these politicians but this was unreal. I talked and emailed the office a million times...but they would not get back to me even after promises. It sucked. I talked to a couple of idiots but not the key people despite an all out effort. If and when they call me or ask for a contribution or I EVER EVER run into them again ( I will deal with them again for several reasons) I am going to rip them to pieces for the rest of my life and/or as long as they are in office. They are either going to tell me what I want to hear or get verbally bombed. It is all I can do.
