does anybody know what the best website is to search for medical symptoms. I was sick 2 weeks ago and now have a cough I cannot shake. It has been like this since I overcame the cold. I do not cough all day but when I do start coughing it is hard to stop. At first my coughs were kind of wet but now they are dry. Sometimes laying down in certain positions makes me start coughing. And i am not a smoker nor drinker

Another thing I have been noticing in the last 2 months is a strange heat sensation in my lower left leg (opposite side of my shin). It happens on and off. It feels like that part of my leg is sitting infront of a fire or heat warmer. When I touch that part of my lower leg it does not actually feel hot it just feels like some sort of heat sensation. The sensation lasts only 5 maybe 10 seconds and goes away. It happens sometime numerious times a day and then other times it wont happen for a few days or weeks. That part of my leg is not sore nor is it bruised in anyway.

I wanted to check this out online before going to the doctors. Thanks in advance

A book titled "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by Phyllis A. Balch.

A must have book for any human.

The heat sensation could be caused by high blood pressure, see a doctor.

thanks guys.....going to see the doc today at 2:45. was trying to avoid the doc as long as possible as I currently do not have health insurance. I left my previous employer to take the summer off. My new job does not start until the fall.

Had the same problem as you over the winter, couldn't shake a cough and it was really bad, i could hardly speak at times cause i was coughing so hard. doctor gave me zithromax (not sure of the spelling but that's how you pronounce it). took for 5 days and it cleared up within a week

1st I wanted to extend my get well wishes to poster wmublows and his family. It is awful when anyone becomes seriously ill and even worse when it is a child. My heart goes out to them. I did not see his post before I asked questions about my illness. I feel silly now knowing what his family and child are going through. I hope they all get through everything as quickly and safely as possible. Once again my heart goes out to them.

I just got back from the doctors and she gave me some samples for my cough (somthing to do with acid reflux and heartburn called protonix). She also prescibed me a antibiotic that starts with the letter "X" that I need to take for the next 5 days. As for the burning sensasion in my leg she says it most likely is called "restless legs" and happens when you are not getting enough sleep at night. has something to do with nerves in your legs. She said this is a common thing with truck drivers, cops and people who sit down alot. I am really none of the above at this point. I was given samples of mirapex to help with the symptoms. I feel better going to the doctors although I hate going. But you neve know what could happen if you wait to have a check up and then wait until it is to late. Once again thanks for all the imput and advice.

sounds like you caught the hiv

that always scares me. i have tested negative in the past. need to be safe when having sex these days. although we all have had our slip ups and close calls. people who are now in there teens to late 30's should be checked as it seems HIV really started to get popular in the 80's
