I have hidden the players names. I have averaged their stats from the past 3 years. Rank in order who you would rather have of these 3 players. Obviously age and defense would figure in on this but rank these 3 players....

Player A - 31 hr, 114 rbi, 72 bb, 127 k, 5 sb, .319 avg

Player B - 35 hr, 105 rbi, 45 bb, 61 k, 1 sb, .304 avg

Player C - 27 hr, 109 rbi, 69 bb, 113 k , 19 sb, .306 avg

That's pretty retarded since the stats are so close, It'd hardly be worth getting minute over it. Plus, you could spin this a number of ways. However, if you wanted to really get detailed, player B goes to the top even though his OBP is the lowest because of the fewest # of walks. He's got by far the least number of strikeouts and I'd prefer the guy who can put the ball in play instead of fanning. Then I'd go with player C, slightly fewer K's, more speed and the power numbers are very close. A is last.

Well this is part of my argument... the stats are very close so its hard to tell who you would rather have not knowing who it is and position and age etc. But I wanted to see what people would rank these 3 guys.

NEED A POSITION If any players CATCHER or 2nd I'll take him first.

MAYBE PUT A SALARY BY EACH AS WELL.

I'd rank A B C

Yes I agree there would be more info needed to rank them officially but I wanted to see what people thought, ill tell the answer later as to who all 3 guys are later after more people get to read this

I picked C first , assuming he scored more runs because of his speed....I have a hunch that player B also walked less than the other two.

A is getting pitched around, C has speed and B, while solid, has no speed and has only 1.29 walks per home run.

Oops sorry, I picked B last because I feel he's walking much less and will score less....too early to be crunching digits, 4 hours sleep. ugh

That is basically what I'm saying, I meant C first over B....I think a player like B will have a much lower OBP on avg. He should score less....this is interesting, I'm curious to see where this is going.

At first I was going to say ACB

But I agree with C,A,B. Because if I'm manager I want a guy to send to steal if I have too.

And they all hit over .300, with HR power so that is a non issue.

They could be anybody, but if A = Miguel Cabrera B = Aramis Ramirez C = David Wright, then it's a close call between Cabrera and Wright with a slight edge for pace.

The thing is to put them in order in terms of talent. Not how you put them in a line up. Unless I'm reading this wrong.

But would you not want the guy who can steal in front of the power?
