O/T: Shrek movies

These movies have made a ton of money. I read in the newspaper today that they will make 5 of them. I haven't watched 1 mintue of any of the movies. In one sentence, what is Shrek about? Can an adult enjoy the Shrek movies?

for kids but alot of the humor is only picked up by adults

Great movies for adults and kids with lots of left handed references throughout the movie. Every time you watch you will catch something else that makes you chuckle or brings back a memory of a movie you watched 10+ years ago.

Exactly..I have seen all 3 with the kids and they work for both audiences.

yea IS, that's the thing that a lot of people love about the shrek movies, kids eat them up but a lot of the humor can be interpreted on different levels so adults are laughing at the same joke the kids are but for different reasons.

heard the 3rd one wasn't very good, but I liked the first one
