Have you ever cooked microwave popcorn with the wrong side up?

Just popped in a bag and wondered what would happen. Of course, it says in BIG BOLD LETTERS "this side up" so I did not want to disturb the microwave popcorn deities by not following their command.

Anybody crazy enough to have done it?

I once created a fire doing that. I didn't need tommy gavin to put it out or anything but was wild. I wish I could claim to have done it on purpose. LOL

the urban legend says that if u purposely pop the popcorn on the wrong side Orville Redenbacker will show up when your sleeping that night and kill you.

good thing I sleep during the day now. Orville wouldn't be caught dead showing his face during the daytime.

I didn't actually do it, but pondered it. I still have one bag left though.

well one thing for sure DO NOT PUT A BOILED EGG in the microwave and heat it for longer than like 20-30 seconds, other than that it is like putting fire to a M-80 if you guys remember those little bombs. It will explode and you end up with 10,000 pieces of boiled egg.

I did that several months ago and the kernels contracted instead of expanded. Good thing It was garbage day the next morning. I put them into my garbage can and come morning time it was blown to smithereens. Kind of like a mini big bag.

what if you wrap the egg in foil and leave it in the microwave for 40-60 seconds?

i did this as a kid once a few days after easter... took a hard boiled egg out of the ice box, peeled the shell and thought i would warm it up in the old microwave... when i bit into it.. EXPLOSION!!! ... scared the shit out of me and burned like a mother.
