That's not the point, Santo. The point is do you want NIKE paying millions of dollars to a man engaged in animal cruelty? If you do mind, call NIKE and complain. If you don't mind, then don't call. It's that simple.

And unless Falcons owner, Arthur Blank, does the right thing, then please post a number to call Home Depot too!

Boycotting for the above reason would be very ignorant. Boycott Nike because you don't like Vick, not because you don't understand economics.

Nike will drop Vick as will every other sponsor.

Most endorsement contracts have clauses about future behavior detrimental to the company. Don't be surprised to see Vick sued by a number of his endorsers for previous payments.

Atlanta should cut his ass too, but they wont cause then they must account for the remainder of his $37mm signing bonus over 2 years instead of the rest of the 10 years... The NFL really needs to create a rule that if someone is either arrested or convicted of a felony, that the team can cut his ass without cap ramifications. If the Falcons cut Vick, there is no reason the fans should have to have a crappy team for 2 years...

I have no problem with this, but at least give the guy a chance to prove himself not guilty...an indictment is not a conviction.

I have never called a company to tell them how to run their business, and I never will.

I make purchasing decisions based on a variety of factors, the primary ones being price, quality, and the manufacturing process. What Vick does has no impact on that, it's a matter for him, the courts and Nike to resolve.

Child Labour is part of the manufacturing process, and has a direct impact on the product I receive, and I don't support companies who do that, but I also don't ring them to tell them how to run their business, I just don't buy.

Would this stop me buying Nike stuff? No, but I rarely buy it anyway, only at factory outlets. It's rarely the best price/quality combination, and I don't buy stuff for the brand name.

I agree that he deserves a trial; but even if he is declared "Not Guilty", (and looking back at the OJ trial, there is a very good chance of that), he still should be suspended from the Falcons and the NFL. There are certain facts in this case. FACT #1...Vick owned the property where the dogfighting was taking place. FACT #2...33 dead dogs were found on the property. FACT #3...dogfighting equipment was found on the property
And those are just the facts we know; in light of the indictment, there must be other FACTS known to the Federal authorities. But all these FACTS, (and here's another one, the local Surry county prosecutor, who is black, declined to prosecute Vick, which is why the Feds took over the case), don't mean that Vick is going to be brought to justice. In this brave new world we live in, it is a crime to use the N-word, but it is not a crime for blacks to kill white people and/or dogs.

winna winna chicken fcuking dinner!

right or wrong, trial or no trial, innocent or guilty......he just became expendable in the advertising world, no one company is dedicated to a spokesperson they are however dedicated to the bottom line and this will impact in a negative way.

Just to be clear, I am strongly against Animal cruelty, but what Nike do is their own business.

You mentioned child labor. How many kids making next to nothing do you think have picked fields of vegetables for people in New York to eat?

Have you ever read or seen how animals are abused in slaughter houses. Why dont you call your local store and diner and demand they stop buying meat, eggs and vegetables unless been handled via fair labor practices?

Again, I care about animals, I think Vick is an asshole thug and hope he goes to jail, but where is your outcry for animal cruelty the other 364 days of the past year?

Love how the talk show guys say Vick doesnt have the track record of Pac- Man and Henry!!!!! Not as bad as them, bbbbbbbbbut.......

He did catch an STD while acting as his alter ego of Ron Mexico.
And I believe he got stopped in an airport with a bunch of ganja.
Now he is fighting pitbulls,etc......

Commish needs to be consistent with this shit........Vick needs 4-8 games. If not, then Goody boy will look like a joke.

LOL...that sounds just like what Clinton Portis said.

Yeah, you're real strongly against animal cruelty, just not enough to do anything about it. Fortunately, there are enough people who will do something about it and NIKE will drop Vick, but no thanks to you. You are like some of our modern day politicians (and I couldn't insult you more) who claim to be personally opposed to abortion, but feel like it is the woman's right to kill her unborn child. Or if you had lived 150 years ago, you would have been personally opposed to slavery but you feel like it is up to the states to decide. I hope when and if you do ever grow up, that you will find your conscience.
