Padres -125 looks like a solid play. Any thoughts?

Young 0.82 ERA @ Home... only -125 vs a very average Phillies team with a pitcher who has a 4.12 ERA..

SD looks pretty good here.. What do you think?

Young lost to Seattle at home and I think the Phillies have a higher OPS. Haven't looked at the game in detail yet.

Phillies have a better lineup, and their bats have been hot since the brea. they hit around .280 against righties. Padres have some trouble vs leftys...and even worse at home.

Its not like young is facing some of the garbage the Phils have in their rotation...he's going up against Hamels

I would think the Over is a good play. Phillies can score and do. Hamels has been giving up HR's at a monster pace.

If I'm playing this game it would be the over. Don't think either side shows value. But the total does at least show some value on the over play.

gyne how do u say hamels is average? i hate the phillies with a passion but hamels is far from avg. the kid is a great pitcher and has to rely on a garbage bullpen, look at the stats and you will see he should have two more wins then he does but the pen blew them for him. the padres arent the right side of this game.

There won't be a game Hamels pitches in all yr that means more to him than this one. Supposedly, the native San Diegan reserved a suite and an entiure section of seats for his rooting session.

I would take the dog or stay away. I refuse to lay the wood with the Padres any more, you never know if they are going to hit or not, most of the time they don't.

you said it best here. hamels does tend to give up the long ball, but who is going to hit it for the padres? this team fails to score runs in bunches and is not very good at the plate lately.

this is a game i can see the phillies stealing.

young hasnt pitched for 12 days if you minus the 1 inning pitched in the all star game. thats pretty long for a pitcher that was rolling b4 the break
