This guy is a glorified bp pitcher....he gets bombarded every outing, yet he still is on a mjor league roster???why trot him out there if your team is going to need 10 runs to win b/c of all the long balls he gives up?

And isn't LaRussa like one of the smartest managers???This has to be the 3rd start in a row Maroth gave up about 10 runs thru 4 innings and the manager leaves him in the game...I don't get it.
