i love it when people say games are never fix.it happen in baseball, nba and college sports.the only thing we can say is if the game is fix that we have money on,let hope we on the right side of the fix.anytime when it come to making big money be it sports betting or big business in general, there are always people wanting to take the short-cut for the easy payoff ...ck

Yeah, I have to agree with CK about the games being fixed. It's just that most of them are, and maybe not all of them. How can the books survive so long without so many upsets.

From Yahoo:

Those studying Donaghy's games might have noticed some trends.

When the home team was favored by 0-4 1/2 points, it went 5-12 against the spread in games officiated by Donaghy this season, according to Covers.com, a Web site that tracks referee trends. Home underdogs were 1-7 against the spread when it was 5-9.5 points.

Donaghy was part of a crew working the Heat-Knicks game in New York in February when the Knicks shot 39 free throws to the Heat's eight, technical fouls were called on Heat coach Pat Riley and assistant Ron Rothstein, and the Knicks won by six. New York was favored by 4 1/2 .

Yeah I remember one game where the Mavs were down by 3 and the spread 3 and then they showed a close-up of Popeye Jones winking. Next thing Terry hits a three, we get overtime and the Mavs win. Weird.

Well that says it all. Every game isn't fixed but many key ones are.If you looked back I'm sure you would find almost every under dog has covered the televised Christmas day Baketball game in the nba. Also if you look at the fri and sat pre newyrs day bowl games all most every betting consensus team lost in the college bowls. how many bad calls by home plate umps that kill or add to rallies. How many holding calls on 2-3 yd gains that had nothing to do with the play.Yet guys are tackled trying to rush during the last 2 minutes and aren't called. is this really something unexpected? Again i'm not accusing players. but these refs and umps are egotists making a lot less than most of these pampered players. why else in football would they have 2 1/2 and 6 1/2 opening lines instead of 3 and 7?
