The Cubs will now try to hand Brandon Webb (8-7, 3.42 ERA) his first career loss against them. Webb has won four straight starts against Chicago and has a 2.52 ERA in six starts against the team, with Arizona (50-47) going 4-2 in those outings.

never bet against a hot team. D'backs have lost 8 of 9 on the road. The only reason why this line is like this is due to the steam on the crappy lineup the cubs are fielding. Ironically, i think the dbacks lineup is even worse.

webbs hasnt won in a while, but hasnt been giving up that many runs, he just hasnt had much run support, last game he struck out 11 batters a think but lost 3-0 or 4-0! marquis is not a good pitcher, if webb can hold the cubs to 3 or less runs, they should win the game!

This team is playing like the 2004 Cardinals. They know they are going to win before they step on the field. Never seen that before out of a Cubs club.

like i said, im scared shitless with this d backs play, but i have to do it, the cubs have the weekest line up out on the field today since the got backfrom the break, and with a sub par pitcher on the mound facing a outstanding opposition, i beleive arizona can squeeze out with a 3-2 4-3 win
