I was going to go to 200 picks using the same method I've been using all along and then start to be more discriminating after that. After thinking about it more, I've decided to be more discriminating starting today. After 150 picks I think I have a better idea on how things work than when I started.

All for listed pitcher. All risking 1 unit.

I like being selective, but my partner disagrees. We have spent hundreds of hours debating the correct approach.

I can see how debate would arise. My numbers (150 games) are certainly not definitive to this point. I have gone over my numbers and have found that betting on line movements that go in 1 direction only (except for maybe late steam) have done better than betting on lines that take different directions throughout the day.

Of course, that could reverse itself in the next 150 games now couldn't it?

We both prefer games that have no takeback (EVERYONE seems to like the same side). Stl seems to fit the type (no takeback). We also prefer it when the side steams as much at other books as at Pinnacle.

I've been noticing the takeback aspect and can't seem to find a pattern. At first I thought it may mean sharps are taking advantage of the better line but lately those games have been losing. It's so hard sometimes with such a small sample size and it's hard to get a larger sample size on line moves since I can't find any historical data.

I'm going to have to start taking other books into consideration. Thanks for the tip.
