If you are going to play, you should study the odds of the dealer getting a qualifying hand. Too many people fold their hands when the dealer wouldn't even qualify. If they knew the odds they wouldn't fold as often.

Not worth getting involved in the game except for very recreational low minimum play. One of those games were you have to really expect losing.

Without really calculating but off the top of my head I think it becomes positive EV when the jackpot gets up around $750,000. So if you find this game and enjoy lotteries go ahead.

It can be a good game when playing "do or die" bonus wagering.

What does that mean? Can you explain?

I have heard that Carribean Stud is a game you play for the Jackpot, not because the odds are good.

do or die is a bonus play strategy where you use your entire bankroll placing big bets hoping to hit something significant. When you do, then you grind out the rest of the wagering requirements on smaller bets to secure the profit.

Playing for bonuses Do or Die increases your EV as you will not wager as much because you will be busting out more often than not, but still benefit from the use of the bonus. Many people cannot understand this concept, but it is really quite simple and one of the keys to my success.

I don't mean to be thick but I'm still not sure of what you mean. What do you mean by something significant? Do you mean you play for the jackpot?

Oh, are you talking about the bonuses you get from playing big? Like comps or online bonuses?

ok here is an example:

you deposit $100 and receive a $100 matching bonus. Blackjack, baccarat, Paigow, and Roulette are not allowed for bonus play. (otherwise play those games in the order listed)

this gives you a $200 starting bankroll. Wagering requirements before you can cashout = 10 x deposit + bonus = $2000

make a $66 bet. If you get a hand of AKJxx or better then raise. If you lose then you are nearly busted with only $2 left. complete your bustout and move on to another bonus deal.

If you get anything better than 3 of a kind (and the dealer qualifies) then you will have won enough to complete your wagering and secure some of the profit by finishing off your wagering requirtements with smaller bets like $5 or even $1. If the dealer doesn't qualify then bet 1/3 of your bankroll on the next hand and repeat until you either bust out or hit something significant (better than 3 of a kind).
