The epitome of ESPN and hype

ESPN in their "Who's Now" contest has the nerve to put Derek Jeter against Reggie Bush. Are you kidding me?

Jeter has been a perrenial All-Star, a shoe-in Hall of Famer, the captain of the most prestigious team in sports, has World-Championship jewelry, and is one of the 1st names out of any sports fan's mouth when it comes to being clutch. Bush has done exactly what? Doesn't start, 0 Pro-Bowls, championships, etc...

These two shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence, let alone a Who's now contest.

But it's this kind of false hype and media attention that fosters the sheep mentality of the public.

I hear you but give him some credit for his Trojans years....Jeter by far the more accomplished though.

There are at least 100 NFL players who are more accomplished they could've used in that contest. ESPN and the NFL should be focusing more on Drew Brees and less on Reggie

Derek Jeter is the absolute man. They don't even belong in the same sentence

My Lord I would love to see Regg end up in SD someday (even though I'm a donkey fan).......Whore-homer wouldn't know WTF to do with himself.

Here's an idea....just forget about football for awhile and keep telling yourself that Peavy got a boo-boo in the All-Star game. It's much easier than just realizing that he's suckked balls in July since he came up. :youmad:

In case you haven't heard, we have a dude named L.T. here whose jock strap Reggie couldn't hold.

As for Peavy, he's sucked big balls. I know he said his biceps was sore, but he has a history of a lot of excuses and nagging injuries when things don't go well. In his defense, I don't think the offense has scored a run for him his last 2 times out.
