Elarton faces the Yankees tonight in KC. This one should get ugly early. Before going on the DL, Elarton posted a 2-3 record, 9.17 era, 1.87 whip. Then, he went on 5 rehab starts in the minors getting shelled, giving up 21 runs in 26 innings. Yankees offense is on fire lately and ARod is 9-16 against him for his career. I really can't believe that the Royals could not come up with a better alternative than him, but this is who they are going with. Gimme Yanks RL and over. GL.

could be the new 'happy edwin jackson day' pitcher.

just need to be careful of kc's bullpen, which is far superior to tampa's.

still not interested in laying a price like this. let's hope he only gives up say, 5 runs in 5 innings & gets another start.

An interesting tidbit is that even though he has those terrible numbers all around, he's 3-0 with a 1.231 whip vs. the Yanks

Yea, I saw his numbers against the Yankees. But, I don't think they are a reflection of the pitcher he is at this point. Did you see his TRIPLE-A numbers over the last month or so? Not interested in laying the -240 either, but don't think I'll need to. Hard to name another pitcher that is worse in mlb.
