I hate to fly. I mean I realy hate it. I been thinking about getting a portable DVD player to watch some movies on the flight.

What other ways do you guys do to help pass the time?

Frontier has 20-30 Directv channels. Best $5 you'll ever spend.

DVD's aren't a bad idea & probably cheaper than just getting smoked at the airport & hopefully sleeping through the flight.

I travel alot.

I have a portable DVD player ...love it

I also do Suduko, crossword puzzels and bring extra bottles of liquer in my DVD case.

Possible nap after the extra FREE drinks in the DVD case.

Anything after 5 hrs..starts to take it's toll on me.

any or all of the above should work..

Have a safe trip. :aktion033

Work on my laptop, sleep, or complain in my head about people who bring screaming babies on planes.

Anytime I fly to the Far East I fly Singapore Airlines. Best looking flight attendants, best service, best food, dozens of current movies with reverse/fast-forward for each seat.

Plane leaves LAX at 8:30pm, have dinner, have a couple beers, watch a couple movies and then it's lights out at midnight. Sleep for 8 hours. Then it's just 6 hours to Singapore. Eat breakfast, watch a couple more movies and you're there.

I fly what is called Business Coach. It has the same legroom as First Class on other airlines yet doesn't cost nearly as much. A round-trip ticket costs between $1100-$1400 depending on how far in advance you book it.
