Saw it last night at the premiere in Westwood. Have to say you can wait until the dvd. it was like a decent episode rather than a great movie.

They use the same formula of Homer messes up, Marge questions her love for him, Homer comes back and saves Springfield and wins Marge again.

Dr Demento was there in the audience. that was a highlight, naturally.

HOMER DEVICES
Cinema staff to use military night sights to foil movie pirates
By James Savage
GUARDS wearing nightvision goggles will patrol a screening of The Simpsons Movie today in a bid to beat pirates.

Film moguls fear the cartoon family's big screen adventure will be taped by bootleggers and made into counterfeit copies.

The summer blockbuster hits cinemas across Britain on Friday.

With piracy in the UK worth £270million a year, the crooks know they can make a killing if they record it and pump out illegal DVDs. When the film is shown to VIPs in Birmingham today, cameras and mobile phones will be confiscated and filmgoers will face a bag and body search.

They will each have to sign a legal contract pledging not to reveal anything about the film before its release.

Then, as the film is shown, staff wearing military nightvision goggles will scan the auditorium for bootleggers.

A spokesman for the makers Twentieth Century Fox said: "They are taking no chances with this one."

Warning! This synopsis contains spoilers

Homer adopts a pig. When Homer accidentally (out of ignorance) causes the Springfield Lake to collapse and turns it into a toxic broth. The Government under Pres. Schwarzenegger is forced to quarantine the whole town, while all the Springfield inhabitants are after Homer. The Simpsons manage to escape - but is Springfield condemned forever? Or will Homer and his family manage to put everything back in order again? Springfield's usual characters all turn up in the first ever movie length version of the hit tv show.

My eyes! The goggles do nothing!

Groeing said they dont have a seperate animation team, so they had to squeeze doing the film inbetween their regular episode work.

I never felt good about the fact I have to pay money to watch the Simpsons, when we have been doing it for free for over 10 years.

For whatever reason, this became a wildly popular internet fad.
And is probably the most famous quote from any of the simpsons episodes.

You have never watched an episode of The Simpsons for free in your entire life. You pay for cable, you sit through commercials -- not free.

You go to a movie theater, you are not merely paying to watch a movie. You're paying to rent a media system that makes everything you've ever dreamed of putting in your living room look like dogshit.

No such thing as "free" healthcare.

No such thing as "free" Simpsons episodes.

That has to be the most horrid post I have ever seen Phaedrus make.

Everyone knows health care isnt free, what a revelation. But if it were "free" what else would you call it.

And yes you can get the Simpsons for free with an antenna and its not hard to put together a THX certefied home theatre system if you have the money.

And youre not "renting" the theatre, youre paying admission. Do you "rent" an amusement park?

I downloaded an entire season of the Simpsons watching NFL at BWW couple years ago. The Wifi was free to me, and the episodes were commerical free.

That time he bet against the Globetrotters was classic.

Possibly one of the funniest epsiodes of any show I have ever seen.

"I thought the Generals were due"
"He's spinning the ball on his finger...just TAKE it"
"Aww they were using a freakin ladder"

What is he on about?

He picks on me in a thread about a freaking cartoon movie.

And he makes no good points.

Meaning Always on - Always talking his Pro-capitalism agenda, not taking a break to say...Hey I liked or didn't like the movie with out turning it into a political argument

Sorry my response would have be better answered -

Geesh don't you have an off switch
