Wins the game last night for the Phils, now just hit his 29th dinger to put them on top 3-2. Hope the Phillies have some sense and attempt to keep him around for a while. Nice to watch the big man bat.

He was supposed to make somewhere around 250k but the Phils gave him that extra money. It's all part of how MLB contracts work. But he has at least 100mill coming to him soon enough.

And the Phils will keep him. They did the right thing and signed Rollins and Utley long term before they hit the market. They'll do the same for RyHow...and probably Hamels too (though I can see Hamels wanting to leave).

jackpot, best hitter in baseball curently...Phils just need some starting pitching and a bullpen.

Gordon is back and Myers this weekend, which will give us at least a ton of boddies in the Bullpen. I hope Kendrick and Durdin can keep it up. We are going to really score this second half so we don't always need great pitching. We got a shot!

The fact that we have to depend on Kendrick and Durbin is sad.

So true, I would be happier depending on the best one of them next year. Of course we won't deal at the deadline like usual so we are probaby stuck with what we got thanks to cheap mtf whitey upstairs!

They will hit a skid, the pitching can only go as far as the bats carry them.

Still a few players away...Utley and Howard are unreal together, it would be nice to see a major power righty in between them soon.

Wishful thinking...but ARod would fit perfectly between them. And playing 80 games at CBank Park he'll easily pass Bonds.

With current Phillies ownership it would never happen...the the "what if" would be amazing.

Yeah well I think a big part will be the MVP candidate that gets his team into the playoffs. We will have to see what happens, their is a lot of baseball left. Utley would be well deserving as well but Aramis in my opinion has a great shot at getting MVP if him and the Cubs keep it up

Nevermind. Utley has a broken hand thanks to that ****** ass rookie who beaned him. there goes his MVP shot.

Playoffs might have something to do with it...but it didn't last year when Pujols won the WS yet RyHow still won NL MVP.
