we faded the steam on TB and took Atl +133. We will not fade Penny as he has cost us several games. Good luck on all your plays!

Yeah, it's obvious that the steam on the Dodgers is because Penny is pitching so I laid off that too. I find it interesting that the steam was on the Dodgers the last time Penny pitched (against Phi) on 07/16 but not the time previous to that on 07/05 against Atl. This is why it's nice to keep a detailed record so I can reference past games.

We had Oak -114 and Bos as a dog (see Suedehead's thread). My partner is getting more selective as I convinced him to pass on Col. It's hard to fade a pitcher whose team is 16-4 in 20 starts!

That's why blindly fading steam is not a good idea. There are legitimate reasons for steam plays like the one you mention here.

Sometimes it's hard for me to bet the 8pm-9pm games. That's the time I'm heading home from work.
