I have a substantial amount of money stuck in Neteller. I couldn't leave the US immediately after Neteller cut the US off, but a couple of months ago I decided it was well worth it to change my residency to another country in order to get my money ASAP. I also have a friend who was able to do this without too much trouble. Unfortunately, I've had to jump through hoop after hoop trying to comply with their requests to prove that I reside in my new country. I finally finished providing them with all of the documents they requested and I received their final reply today. Here it is:

Dear Mr. XXXXXXXX,

We received your recent request to change your address to one that is outside of the United States of America.

All your documents have been verified. Unfortunately as the process of US payout is approaching, we are unable to process the address change on your behalf.

As stated in our latest Press Release, Neteller is in the process of returning funds currently held in trust of US Customers. For more information, please visit http://www.neteller-group.com for the last release on refund for U.S. Customers.

If you require further assistance, please contact Neteller Customer Service at USMembers@neteller.com.

Best Regards,
addresschange@neteller.com

Why can't they just reactive my Neteller account if they plan on returning all US funds anyway? This is ridiculous. Hopefully they follow through with paying up for everyone's sake that is involved. Fuckers.

This sounds good for the rest of us. What country did you choose?

You might as well wait this out. Do you still have your US bank account that is linked to Neteller?

I was kinda thinking that it wasn't such a good thing. Don't you think it would be easier and more profitable for them to just switch the address on my account and allow me to continue to be a customer? Anyway, I chose to move to Japan because I always wanted to try living here for a while.
I guess I have no choice but to wait at this point and, yes, luckily I still do have the bank account linked with Neteller.

They have been shying against opening up US linked foreign accounts. You may be in Japan, but the money flow would be coming from a US account. They systematically shut down every avenue of getting your money including your method several months ago
