He can still lay the lumber on the baseball.

Good ball game in Az. as the Braves have come all the way back to now trail just 7-6..

Az is playing good baseball as well.

the guy can still play...he's probably really in his early 50's.
saw him play a few times this week and was impressed with his work at first base.

Gotta give Bobby credit for getting him back and using him to get him at bats...saying Julio is still in spring training with his lack of work at the dish...looks like he was right, he's lacing the ball all over the place.

With Utley out, could have filled in at second for my Phils.....Royal Fan isn't going to like that dig at the Royals, but I thought it was funny....but the Royals are improving, like the youth movement...

Ha, can you imagine Franco back as a middle man where it all started 4 decades ago? :think2: not sure he could play 2nd anymore though.

No WAY could Julio play anywhere other than 1st (or DH). Plus it looks like the Phils are getting Tadahito Iguchi.

My comment was just in jest, and I knew JMAN would get it...I remember Franco when he was with the Phillies....:missingte

Yeah the only problem with the Royals thought is 2 years from now a couple of those young budding stars will leave the farm system that is "the royals" and go to the yanks, sox, cubs, etc. etc. they do not have a chance.

No way, the offensive juggernaught known as Mark Grudzilaneck bats 3rd

So when Teahen gets one day off, and Grudz fills the third slot that game, he is now the three hitter. Okay, makes sense. What an idiotic post.

Sorry I forget that the royals have been division contenders for the past 10-15 years now.

Who said they were? If you do not see what is happening with the organization and see the obvious improvement, then you obviously do not understand baseball well. It is obvious to those in the know. And certainly good enough that Franco would not ever touch this roster.
