2* Game 1 Washington/New York UNDER 8.5 -115 (Bookmaker)

Like this total yet again. Tim Redding hasn't been the bum lately that everyone put him out to be, with an ERA of less than 3. Sum that with this Mets lineup having a tough time consistently swinging the stick, and we might have a duel on our hands. El Duque has been incredible at home with a little over a 2 ERA. What you have to like the most is all 6 home starts have been under the given total. That's enough for me to play this again.

Good luck to all. Might add something throughout the day.

Hope we don't have another Mets/Pirates 8 run explosion in two inning bullshit.

Couple more for the afternoon...

2* Washington/New York OVER 9.5 Even

After two low scoring offensive struggles of games, it's time for the bats in this series to heat up. What better way can you have facing a pedestrian minor leaguer making his MLB debut. Hanrahan was went 5-4 with a 3.70 ERA in 75 innings at Triple A Columbus. Mets bats could clobber this guy from Queens to the Bronx. On the other side is the winless Mike Pelfrey. Besides an ERA of over 6, the thing that really caught my eye is his K/BB ratio of 22/23. When betting an over, nothing is better than getting guys on base the cheap way. Combine Pelfrey's bad control with the MLB debut of Hanrahan, and we should finally have an over between these two teams.

2* Chicago/Cincinatti UNDER 9 -115

Betting an under in the launchzone known as the Great American Ballpark is never a great idea, but I love the two pitchers on the mound. Harang has been solid all season long with a little over a 3 ERA at home. Even with the Reds below average bullpen Harang is capable of going 7-8 innings, easily. Sean Marshall can dominate this Reds lineup if he can dodge the long ball. Also encouraging that 5 of 6 games in this series have gone under.

Good luck to all the rest of the day.

Got some late runs in the Nats/Mets game to hit the over, but bad news with Soriano hitting another bomb to give me a push best scenario. Hope no more runs in the 9th. Will update record once the games are finished...
