FWIW we went to Knocked Up. I gotta say, it was not as good as I was led to believe. I see the word hilarious being used. I would say more along the lines of, "a few chuckles here and there."
I would also not describe it as a great date movie. I thought it was going to be a more-or-less typical romantic comedy but it was almost too realistic about relationships. At times it went out of its way to show how crappy relationships can end up.
The critic in me would give it high marks for realism and astuteness. But on a date, I would have preferred things to be lighter. I didn't need so much of characters sniping at each other. The birth scene was a bit much too.
It was a bit uncomfortable for my date.

Chuck and Larry for this scene alone is worth the price of admission. Adam Sandler was funny as shit before he went homo, might have been his best 20 minutes in years.
