Be careful if you like Milw today

Really think this may be a good game to stay off of today as this line on Milw is getting very weak and imo it the cards or stay away.................ck

Gallardo has been lights out.. Kip Wells is having a pretty bad season all around.. plus with the Cubs on their tail they cannot afford to get swept by a division team.

AJ that sound all good,but no way would i put a dollar on them today as imo this is a good game to look the other way.nothing is a sure thing and imo this team is going south the 2nd half of the season..gl today..ck

I know what you mean.. especially with the line, but I just feel that they HAVE to win with the Cubs right on their tail. I mean It's hard enough to sweep a team in a double header one day.. but very hard to come right back the next day at 1 o clock and finish the sweep of the series especially against a pitcher who has been phenomenal lately.

Agreed....was on the Brewers initially but then realized as bad as Wells has been, his last 3 starts have been decent...under 4 ER wise...and the Brewers line has taken a turn for the worse....

Any specific reasoning behind this? Wells doesn`t exactly instill confidence IMO.

look at FL last night - Willis pitched great and Fl looses to SF because of bullpen. very sad to see that after he pitched so well in the bulk of the game - they used two closers. SF just isn't that good - and the last closer they spoke so highly of seemed very avg.

anyway that's some indepth looking at a game to see this type thing. teams w/out starters or team w/out bull pen are just not going to compete for the fall classic.

let's win some games today!!

MIL HAS BEEN LOUSY..WHY TAKE A TEAM PLAYING POORLY ON THE ROAD WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER PLAYS????

milwaukee won friday so this would not be a sweep of the brewers. wells does not give up many homeruns . when he gets in trouble is when he makes errors in a game then he seems to get rattled and blow up.

Gallardo has never faced the Cards.
Cards batting .274 against RHP
Mil batting .252 against RHP
Brewers batting .220 against Wells
Wells doesn't have enough quality starts to back him.
Gallardo has only 41 innings in so far.
Who knows what will happen when he faces Pujols.

Guys,

I don't know the stats, but I can tell you the Cards win on Sunday. Even as a dog, they tend to win on Sunday. Plus, more than half of Albert's dingers happen on Sunday. Last Sunday he hit one in the 8th to tie the game and they went on to win in extra innnings. Look it up, they win on Sunday. I would be careful about betting against them. They have not given up the season and think they can still get back in the race.
