Gee, what will all the teeth gnashing people who are already setting their alarm clocks for about 7 years from now gonna do if Mr. Regular Season is smeared, too?

The last time Jose Canseco put pen to paper, all of baseball quaked.

He promises to do it again - and this time he says he'll have something to say about Alex Rodriguez. Canseco, who wrote "Juiced," his 2005 book detailing his use of steroids with Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Pudge Rodriguez and others, says he has another book in the works, due this fall.

He told Boston's WEEI Radio on Friday that he had "other stuff" on A-Rod that will be coming out. When asked directly if Rodriguez had used steroids, Canseco replied: "Wait and see."

Rodriguez cut off a question about Canseco's comments yesterday after being asked in Baltimore if he had heard the former slugger's words, saying, "Nope, I haven't. And I have no comment."

As the Daily News first reported, Canseco took his turn before former Sen. George Mitchell last year, giving up names and making an offer to help Mitchell in his investigation into steroid use in baseball.

"Until someone like Jose is part of the investigation as an investigator, they aren't going to get much cooperation," Canseco's attorney, Rob Saunooke, told The News then. "Jose could meet face-to-face with some of the individuals, use his own friendship with them and knowledge of them and talk with them comfortably. If Jose sits down face-to-face with you and reminds you of all the good times, then he says, 'It's time for us to come clean with these things.'"

Saunooke did not reveal the additional names Canseco gave investigators, but said his client also named front-office people who may have had knowledge of steroid use in the game. The interview was "just to detail more about what he's already put in the book, from a player participation level, but also managers, trainers, administrators, or people who would have known or been apprised of what was going on," Saunooke said.

I have nothing for or against Arod, however, Canseco has expressed he has little money and put out his previous book to make money, whats to stop him at this stage from putting out a book everytime he feels the need for a little extra cash and just smear anyones name on there. Arod or no rod.

I always wondered why A-Rod got a pass during all this steroid bullshit. The same for all these pitchers, especially the ones putting up better numbers in their 40's after they looked washed up in their mid-30s.

Jose is a clown, first he admits he cheated, was paid very nicely for his artificial career than when he goes broke tries to throw everyone else under the bus.

Would Canseco have admitted this had his career taken him to the 755 mark? hell no.

If he really was just interested in doing the right thing, he would have told everyone back in 1992....is he in jail currently?

Yeah ... reminds me of Stephen King and John Grisham ... bastards write books to make money ... that should be made illegal.

They say A Rod is noticably smaller this yr, I can't tell....I'm sure he's probably done some things.

He has the perfect baseball body to begin with, like LebRon of MLB.

Just compare players within each era that is all we can do, a 700 HR guy now is a 550 guy in 1970's

Barry might have still hit 600, A Rod, 600, Sosa 400, Mac 425 Raffy 375

good points, j-man...

I actually listened to this interview live on WEEI...and journalist, Sean McAdam didn't sugar coat the interview...and Canseco basically came off as a clown trying to make another dollar.

He was calling everyone hypocrites (incl: Alex Rodriguez, Schilling, etc) during the interview, but he's probably the biggest hypocrite in this story.

I saw A-Rod in Tampa in 2004. I sat on the field level, 5 feet from the Yanks on-deck circle. A-Rod was bloated, looked like he was going to tear out of his skin. He was probably around 240 pounds and looked like a MONSTER. Protein powder my ass!

That's the best way to look at it, from a historical standpoint.

I have wondered on here many times why A-Rod is exempt from suspicion. He looks a lot bigger to me than his Seattle days.

Gee, that's funny, that's what what almost everybody said when his first book came out years ago; unfortunately, he didn't exactly get disproven, did he?

Yeah, I am not a Canseco fan nor am I defending him but if he speaks the truth, then then that is a lot different that making up lies. If he talks too much, or is looking for money, or has an ego problem, that is not the end of the world if he is speaking the truth. If he wants to write a book to make money and expose a few cheaters then I have no problem with it. He is definitely not a standup guy but the moral of the story is don't cheat.
