I just don't see why they wouldn't win this game:

- The Dodgers are horribly overvalued with a whopping 62.26% wagerliners thinking they are going to win today on the road.

- Ubaldo Jimenez is on the mound for Colorado and he deserves a win.

- Dodgers are 7-0 with Billingsley on the mound this season and we all know that can't last forever.

- Dodgers are batting only .209 in their last four games, worth the price?

- Colorado has won 13 of 22 in July (yahoo sports) and they are on somewhat of a surge right now.

- Billingsley has allowed 6 HR's on the road, only 2 at home and the Rockies have 7 HR's in their last five games.

- Jimenez is a rookie without a win but he has looked very good and he has already pitched a shutout inning against the Dodgers.

- Colorado is 13-3 in their last 16 home games versus a right handed starter...now thats fuckin value.

- Colorado is 17-5 in their last 22 home games.

- Dodgers have traditionally done well in this series but things are a lot closer this year.

- Dodgers bullpen has an ERA of 5.63 in their last 10 games while Colorado bullpen has an ERA of 3.52 in their last 10 games. This game almost surely comes down to the bullpens and the Dodgers cannot be trusted.

- In three major league starts, Jimenez has never allowed more than 3 ER's.

- Think of all the times you really thought the Dodgers or Braves would win and they screwed you...well this is one of them.

I think the Rockies are too hot at home right now and Billingsley just can't keep winning games. He has given up some long balls on the road and the Rockies seem to have the hot hand with HR's as of late. I am going with this great price on the home team to win this series.

Not sure I understand that logic. I watch just about every Dodger game. Billingsly has great stuff. He is for real. Dodgers top two relievers are rested. Dodgers or nothing. I am staying away.

Well everyone has to lose at some point and since he had some HR issues on the road this season, this is not the park for Billingsley. Pitchers with HR issues tend to struggle here and the Rockies are getting hot with the long ball.

Also, over the LAST 3 SEASONS when meeting in Colorado

LAD has an ROI of +0.4%

COL has an ROI of -3.6%

The difference is nowhere near enough to favor either side more than the other in terms of who dominates this series so saying that the Dodgers own the Rockies in this park doesn't really mean much.

There is something very fishy about this game...at first glance, Dodgers are the obvious play...but something about the RL bothers me

Opening RL Lines

Dodgers - 1½-205
Rockies - -1½+175

Skybook & Global are two of the more sharper books out there...this is where the line now sits...

Skybook
Dodgers -1½+140
Rockies- 1½-160

Global
Dodgers -1½+135
Rockies -1½-155

Same thing happened in the Rangers/Royals game yesterday...and the Royals ended up winning. Could go either way, but I would advise laying off the dodgers today...they always screw you when you least expect it...

good point dude and again, the Dodgers just dont get the job done on the road like the Rockies do at home against righties.
