I just don't see why they wouldn't win this game:
- The Dodgers are horribly overvalued with a whopping 62.26% wagerliners thinking they are going to win today on the road.
- Ubaldo Jimenez is on the mound for Colorado and he deserves a win.
- Dodgers are 7-0 with Billingsley on the mound this season and we all know that can't last forever.
- Dodgers are batting only .209 in their last four games, worth the price?
- Colorado has won 13 of 22 in July (yahoo sports) and they are on somewhat of a surge right now.
- Billingsley has allowed 6 HR's on the road, only 2 at home and the Rockies have 7 HR's in their last five games.
- Jimenez is a rookie without a win but he has looked very good and he has already pitched a shutout inning against the Dodgers.
- Colorado is 13-3 in their last 16 home games versus a right handed starter...now thats fuckin value.
- Colorado is 17-5 in their last 22 home games.
- Dodgers have traditionally done well in this series but things are a lot closer this year.
- Dodgers bullpen has an ERA of 5.63 in their last 10 games while Colorado bullpen has an ERA of 3.52 in their last 10 games. This game almost surely comes down to the bullpens and the Dodgers cannot be trusted.
- In three major league starts, Jimenez has never allowed more than 3 ER's.
- Think of all the times you really thought the Dodgers or Braves would win and they screwed you...well this is one of them.
I think the Rockies are too hot at home right now and Billingsley just can't keep winning games. He has given up some long balls on the road and the Rockies seem to have the hot hand with HR's as of late. I am going with this great price on the home team to win this series.
