Help me understand MLB talk.

Does this mean they shipped him to triple a or just let him go?

Essentially, it allows a club to open up a roster spot while it figures out what it's going to do with a player.....

There are certain situations in which a team needs a player's permission to either trade him or send him to the minors. So rather than force the player to make a quick decision, the team can simply designate him for assignment while he decides....

More commonly, a player is designated for assignment so the club can open up his roster spot while they're waiting for him to clear waivers, which can take four or five days.

It means they have 24 hrs to decide what to do with him but in that 24 hrs he cant play anywhere.and if im not mistaken they cannot return him to their roster without clearing waivers or being sent down 1st

Thanks. Not sure anyone would want Morgan and I don't see him taking his millions and going to aaa.

Poor guy just never was the same after his shoulder injury.

Asros waited longer than they should I think.

Too bad. I always liked Ensberg, and he always seemed to be a nice, genuine guy.

They did wait too long, he has been terrible the last couple years.

He's gone. Hopefully Jason Lane is right behind him.
