Leaning TORONTO also.:aktion033 Best of luck 2nite. Thoughts on the PHILLY/CUBS game?

Thanks NLV. BOL to you also!

Phi / Cubs is a tough game to cap IMO. Two good pitchers with season ERA in the mid-3's and with ERA over the L3 games that's even lower than that (slight edge to Lilly with the 2.25 ERA and 3~0 record over that time span).

But offensively, PHI has shown more consistency scoring 5, 10, 8, 6 & 7 runs over the L5 games (compared with 6, 8, 4, 1 & 7 for the Cubbies).

Unless I dig up some other data (have not dug too far yet) I will probably leave this game alone.

One other note: While the Cubbies home record for the season is not stellar....they have been kicking ass at home very recently and seem to have some serious "2-out" mojo working.

any thoughts on the angels over?

i mean if u look at escobars numbers against seattle and batista's against the angels it looks like this game could easily go over.

batista vs laa - IP 34.2 HITS 49 ER 26 ERA 6.75
esco vs sea - IP 108.2 HITS 131 ER 74 ERA 5.05

then look at the hitters career numbers against the two pitchers and it is still quite favorable for the over.

Those are some impressive numbers Slick. I will admit, I was not even leaning one way or the other on the total for this game. I was, however, toying with a small play on LAA to win though.

As far as that OVER play, I am torn between trying weigh numbers like the ones you are showing and what I typically look at (L3 games ERA and season ERA, as well as each teams recent offensive output).

When looking at those numbers, Batista is looking hittable (4.48 season ERA and 4.08 L3 ERA) and Escobar is looking stingy (2.91 season ERA and 1.59 L3 ERA).

As far as offense, SEA has been up and down (14, 4, 7, 2 & 6 runs) in the L5 games, while LAA has been cranking up the heat (13, 10, 11, 7 & 3 runs) in the L5 games.

So, my original thought was that if this thing goes over, it will likely be the result of LAA putting up some good numbers. While your numbers make it more possible for both pitchers to potentially be a party to the crime (OVER).

I'm not touching the total on this one, but I like your thinking here.

Side Note: It looks like BetJam is dangling a 7.5 total for the DET / OAK game. With Rogers (5.23 season ERA and 9.98 L3 ERA) and Blanton (3.69 season ERA and 6.52 L3 ERA) pitching, I almost wonder if this total isn't worth a closer look.

BOL tonight Slick!

i think tata is pitching for detroit tho...

Shit...I just looked. Yes, he is pitching. I had all those numbers jotted down from last night. Thanks Slick.

I don't have any information on Tata other than he was called up from Triple-A due to Rogers being put on the 15-day DL.

Thanks Slick.

Thanks buddy! And BOL to you and your parlay. I like the sounds of it and I will be rooting for it to hit for you.

Yeah, OAK was a bit of a tease yesterday. Oh well, can't get 'em all.
