I think we see both teams struggle to score in this one.
- The storm has passed. The Tigers are gone and now the Angels can go back to the way things used to be.
- After scoring 41 runs in their last four games (all at home), the Angels are due for a run shortage.
- Miguel Batista and Kelvim Escobar have both generated more UNDERS than OVERS this season with a 24-15 combined score for the UNDER.
- Escobar got rocked here earlier this year but he did pitch a gem here late last season.
- Seattle is batting only .256 in their last 10 games, should slow things down.
- Escobar has allowed only 4 HR's on the road in 8 starts this season while Batista has allowed only 7 HR's in 10 home starts this season (the Angels don't hit HR's anyways).
- Escobar has dominated the AL West to some degree in his Angels career and the UNDER is 9-2 in the last 11 games he has started against them.
- The UNDER is 11-3 in Escobar's last 14 road starts
- The last 60 times Escobar has been favored, the UNDER has hit 41 times.
- The last 17 times Seattle has scored 5+ runs in their previous game, the UNDER has hit or pushed 14 times in the current game.
- Seattle tends to struggle a bit against righties as 6 of their last 8 against a RHP have been UNDER.
Don't expect either team to crack the 4 run mark and even if one of them does, the other won't pass the 1-2 run mark. I don't know about the outcome of this game but I do know that I think both pitchers dominate this thing tonight despite how well the Angels are hitting.
