Both plays at Bookmaker.
2* Tampa Bay +115
McGowan for the Jays has nasty stuff, but I think he gets hit here tonight against the Rays lineup. Sonnanstine is an average starting pitcher for the Rays who went 7 IP giving up 6 runs last month in Toronto. Think he has a solid outing at home tonight. I'm not a huge 'value' guy, I don't think a .500 club on the road should be getting as much chalk as Toronto is carrying today. Like the home dog here.
2* Detroit/Oakland UNDER 9.5 -115
Joe Blanton has solid him numbers at home posting a 2.62 ERA over the season. I think he can go 7 innings of 3 run ball, which I would take in a second. Jordan Tata is making his first major league start. Not much on the books as far as scouting Tata, but if there was an offense he could tame and maybe go a surprising 5 innings of 1 or 2 run ball, it would be against Oakland. 10 runs to lose this game is a lot in McAfee Coliseum, I just don't see it happening.
Good luck to all.
