DirecTV & Sunday Ticket

So, I just called to cancel Sunday Ticket and get a credit back on my account. I know someone posted this a while back, but I believe this is even more than they offered at that time. After going through all the b/s of waiting on hold and trying to cancel they obviously make an offer to keep you. Basically their offer to prevent you from cancelling the Sunday Ticket is any free equipment they have, which includes the HD DVR Dish and Receiver at a cost of $300. If you already have that, there are a ton of other free offers of channels and a bunch of other crap they offer, since I have been too lazy to get the HD DVR, I just took that instead of listening to the other crap.

So basically I get Sunday Ticket and the HD DVR for the price of Sunday Ticket. There is, however, the catch of having to sign up for 2 years of service, which doesn't trouble me as I have no plans to change service.

and hopefully they will realize the price is getting too high if they receive a lot of complaints. nah

still worth a call as they offer a bunch of other shit for free besides the HD DVR, or, you could get another one for free.

Yeah that was me. The wife called back then and we got 7 months for the payment. We get super fan for free. And we also got 20 off our bill for the next year. So in the end we just get it for free.
