So much for i will name other refs and players involved....
all i have heard is feds questioning one of Donaghy's friends from
high school or something......this whole thing blows, guy will
be paid off to say nothing and vanish it's quite obvious.

NBA will be totally fucked this season, you won't see any refs giving
the less talented team calls cause they don't want to be hauled in
over this shit. Might as well find a new sport now....No value.

Also don't you find it funny that two guys from Chicago get
their houses robbed all at about the same time this shit goes down?
One of the players had his car stolen then recovered.....
What dude steals a car and then wants everyone to find it?
Seems like someone wanted to make a statement before
anybody got to talking.

I think the whole thing has been poorly handled and Stern should
fry for this...He knew all about this guy way before we knew
the basics. :nohead:

Who knows what happens next but doubt very much any of it
makes it's way into the media.

Wonder if you played the 'under' in most of the games you would come out with a nice profit?

I don't even play totals..i play moneylines.

I am not saying i didn't profit, maybe i did, maybe i didn't.
I don't care for that...

I don't know if you know or not but NBA moneylines have
been very profitable for alot of people but with this shit
i think thats all over now...so i guess if you are a chalk
lover you will be in your element.

You have to be small minded to think totals were the only
thing being cooked here, but good luck to you anyway.

Your right though, maybe unders are the way to go this season
for those people inclined to bet them.

Maybe i will join those that do...just waiting to see what goes down.

If the refs are going to be really leniant on fouls, then wouldn't betting the unders be the way to go? I don't know how many times FT's fucked me over last year in the NBA.

Yeah your right, never really thought about it like that.
Alot of close games go down to foul shots, it can be
pretty annoying. Even some teams like Jazz keep fouling
for the fuck off it, which has to be questioned... but
they get away with it cause Sloan instructs them to.

Got awhile to figure out a new game plan...
I think personally alot more chalk will win and cover
then in previous years, but i just can not play them.
Just not my style.

KG to Boston pushed this off the center stage. Stern was probably doing cartwheels when the trade went down.

If they're going to call fouls you want the OVER. No time comes off the clock when you're shooting fouls.

Harlem, you are exactly right. The sudden silence is deafening right now and something screwy is definately going on. The simultaneous Chicago robberies also are a little suspicious and could very well be a message being sent by someone. Given the potential economic impact of a further escalation of this scandal GoGo would not at all be surprised if the NBA is somehow able to keep further developments out of the press. There is no doubt in GoGo's mind that there is much much more to this scandal but the question is will we ever hear about it.

its gone quiet because they want everybody to forgot about this problem and not have to admit that its being done all the time.
When this case is over the nba will make sure they have their friends in government come out with a statement saying that this case was about only 1 ref. Our government needs to help protect the nba's billion dollar enterprise.

Stuckinvegas,

I think what Addict101 means is if one team gets the calls and the other team doesn't get any or less then what they should, more games will go under. It will also help if these refs are not all on the Over as well.

No mention of the Detroit shot clock operator (a scam thats been happening for years) also in another game November Toronto @ Atlanta (which Donaghy worked) Toronto's TJ Ford made a layup that was not counted in the final few minutes. Someone else in this forum pointed out that it was not Donaghy who waved it off but some other official. Still the questions have to be asked.

I was in the office that day and all the money was for Atlanta. Was strange cause everyone knows Atlanta as chalk are not that great. Anyways don best had the official score 97-95 Atlanta..... the phone runs hot everyone complained....minutes later don best changed it to 97-93, punters collect Atlanta -3 or whatever it was.

GoGoBird i can't help but think those robberies were linked. Questions have to be asked of the Garnett trade as well. The timing of it all. Garnett didn't want to leave. He said it was the toughest 72 hours of his life. Why? As far as we knew he didn't want to go to Boston at all. NBA were involved in some capacity for sure to move him to Boston to take some heat off.

Your right cd329 i have no doubt thats exactly what will happen. People in the media should follow through more on these stories and put more pressure on figureheads to get the whole story, but that never happens...
Stern and the like have way too many outs to deny people truths.

Are you saying the NBA moved Garnett to make the trade story replace the ref story? Or are you saying Garnett has something to do in this?

This coming season we'll see a better game being played and less questionable outcomes.
The fans will forget at seasons end and Stern will be considered a genius again by the naive public.

After that smoke is gone we'll see the ref's up to tricks again and questionable games as long as Stern is in control.

There is to much money to be made by controlling games.

I think the NBA wanted KG to go to Boston to take some heat off. I don't know if KG was involved in any gambling on games.
I know KG is from Chicago though.

They control the media better then they control any games.
Your right though things will go back to normal soon enough.
