playing chicago (-1.5) (+150)

the numbers for zambrano have been filthy lately. hasnt given up more than 5 HITS in a game since june 1st. 3 earned runs allowed in his last 5 combined home starts. the only thing thats a bit of a concern with him is walks. not a big fan of how he goes deep into a lot of counts and puts some unnecessary runners on base. but ill back the white hot pitcher here. cubs seem to be in that zone right now where, much like the yankees, they believe they are going to win every time they step on the field. and even if they dig themselves an early hole, they chop away at the lead and work their way back in the game. but im expecting them to score early for zambrano, something theyve made a habit of lately, and then leaning on their ace to finish the job. despite the loss yesterday, cubs are simply a very confident team and the mets are a little banged up. cubs runline for me.

im amending my above statement about the walks to read " .... he puts way too many unnecessary runners on base".
