What happened to Opening Numbers & CRIS on odds page?

They havent been there in a few days....sorry if I missed another post on this. What happened?

CRIS has pulled themselves off of all line services, except for an exclusive agreement with a particular provider.

They are no longer on Don best, G&J nor are they on RXOdds.

I cant remember who the exclusive agreement is with.

BetCRIS openers are currently not available to the Rx Live Lines because of a deal they have made with Linetracker.com. Rx.com General Manager Rick Allec.is working on the problem.

Similar thread with a lot of replies from earlier this week on the very same issue.

my apologies if that was incorrect, i got a newsletter from them saying they were going off everywhere.

Hi Wolf -

CRIS had said that they would be leaving their feed on our free odds page, so I had expected the feed to resume. I will be in touch with them over the weekend and will give you an update as soon as I get one.

We could probably scrape a feed from them, but for now we have made the decision to only post odds with a sportsbook's permission.

I guess they tried, but everywhere that wanted to keep them just went to a scraped feed or similar and refused to take them down. The thing with lines is you can't really stop people displaying them, as all it takes to get them is a valid login (and sometimes not even that).

Exactly, whereas Rick has clarified that he would rather do it with CRIS's permission.

Yup, but if they continue to say no he'll have to decide between doing it without their permission or seriously damaging RXO's prospects in the market.

classy move, i would hope they realize he could scrape a feed and reward someone for trying to do things the correct way.

Since CRIS presumably has an exclusive contract with Linetracker then no-one else can get CRIS lines, other than by scraping a feed.

correct, but several have continued to post there lines without mention of the agreement with linetracker. I was just commenting on the fact that i thought it was a stand up thing to do in asking them to continue with the feed rather than in effect "borrowing" it from another source.

I haven't heard what the final decision is between the top guys at BetCRIS and The Rx.com regarding this matter but will inquire. The situation is a sensative one as BetCRIS has been one of our most loyal and cooperative sponsers for years but in spite of that they natrually have the right to say who gets to post their openers and who does not and the Rx very much respects that right.

Personally I am hoping a compromise can be acheived between the two companies that will allow Rx.com posters to have access via Rx Live Lines to the highly prized BetCRIS openers. Time will tell.

I will keep this thread informed of any new information should I receive any.

We have spoken to BetCris, and they are working on a new feed for us right now. :modemman: They shut down all of their old feeds so they could try to 'control' who is getting them.

So they wll be back for sure and I am hoping by early next week.
