Betting sports for a living takes as much time as a regular job (actually, like 1 1/2 jobs, 60+ hours a week). You need at least 5 outs, and you need to spend half your time shopping and timing the market. Shopping and timing probably yield an extra 5+ cents per play (5+ units per hundred winners).
