if u look at the only edge the mets had in this game ..it was maines recent quality outings, and personally i think hes better than lily.

The cubs have the better hitters with todays lineups with the inclusion of derosa, and theriot....

the cubs have negated this mets advantage here, as maine is not sharp.

It is also my non-statistical observation that when runners are scored on walks and hbp, typically these r demoralizing runs to give up, and games that teams dont win.
