i've noticed that many are on the tigers today. at first glance, i too thought the tigers were a good bet. but looking more into it, i couldn't help but to like the chi sox more and more. yesterday i had the chi sox and today i feel they are a good bet again. chi sox 4-1 last 5 games against tigers, tigers are 1-7 last 8 games. bonderman had to bad outings last two times out. same matchup for both pitchers from last week, vasquez getting the win. tigers being the better team, but not showing it as of late. chi sox seem to have the tigers number lately. +140 is a great price for a team playing descent baseball as of late against a team that is definately in a slump.

Were the Tigers on the road, I could see and understand your point but I believe tonight at home they win.

pac man, yes, the tigers were on the road. but look at last night. didn't most people have the tigers then? the white sox put a hurting on them. the tigers are a fan favorite as they are doing well this sesason. and with all teams, they get hot and they slump. they happen to be in a slump right now against a confident white sox team who has played the tigers well lately. avoid the slumping teams and go with the winning ones. bonderman slumping pitcher, tigers slumping team. vasquez and the white sox are playing .500 ball lately. i'll go with the steady horse for now.

I always love when people say they are slumping they lost 4 of the last 5 lol.
But these people never repost how the team comes back and wins 7 of the next 8 meanwhile people want to take a shitty team at a decent price like 140 and then the shitty team gets blasted 10-2

flacapper, tigers 9-13 since the all star break. 1-3 at home since the all star break. 4-11 last 15 games. 1 series won since the all star break. 1-7 last 8 games. i'd say they're in a slump, wouldn't you? there is no reason to say anything if and when the tigers reel off 8 straight wins. you just go with the hot streak. i didn't say the tigers aren't a good team. i just said they're not playing well lately. they really miss shef's bat, if you didn't notice. you really do sound like one of them typical morons who only come and talk shit on therx. i don't think you really know what you're talking about. if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it!!!

doc44, you're right, the chi sox are in a season long slump, but they've been playing better lately and much better than the tigers in recent games.

Poker Ninja,

I fully understand "why" you're on the Sox tonight since many of the numbers/stats say "play CHI". Sorry, I'd have to look up if the majority were on DET last night - I know I wasn't and therefore didn't follow the game as close as normal. Public teams always get juiced a little, not saying it's right or wrong, just that's the way it is. I'm only on the game to win $100 (since that's what the Madness called for). And, yes you're 1,000,000% right that the Tigers are in a funk/slump currently. If DET doesn't win tonight, could happen, I will be backing them their next game (and probably alot this home stand). In the event, I start an IN-GAME thread you (& others on CHI) are, as always, welcome. Having both sides in an in-game thread keeps the chatter lively.

pacman, the tigers have been good to me all season long. they are one of my favorite teams to bet on, as they score runs like crazy. without shef, they really suffer and don't put up the same numbers as they do with him. until shef returns, i'll be betting against the tigers. when he returns, its business as usual. looks like thome will be in the lineup for the chi sox tonight as well.

flacapper, i agree that the slump will end. glad you agree that they are in a slump. i'll just be glad to bet against the tigers and take the profit while i can. tigers will always be a high priced favorite, so might as well benefit from that while i can.
