Lou said he wants Wood's first couple outings in no pressure situations. With the Cubs leading 6-2 Wood could see an inning in todays game. i say wood will be a great closer. had this debate on the poker table with a couple of guys. wood has nasty stuff. if you can just keep him to bullpen duty where he pitches less innings and doesn't stress his arm so much, he could be great and healthy for a long time coming. maybe put prior n wood in the pen. that'd be crazy!!! much better than having the dumpster there to close out games. the dumpster should be out of baseball.
