LAS VEGAS (AP) — Gunfire erupted at the Caesars Palace hotel-casino early Saturday when a man who had been knocked down in a fistfight retrieved a weapon and shot two people, police reported.
No one was immediately arrested, though investigators were interviewing five people Saturday, said Officer Ramon Denby of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
The wounded men, whose names were not immediately released, were taken to a hospital for wounds that Denby said did not appear to be life-threatening.
The gunshots rang out soon after a fight involving several people began about 4 a.m. near an elevator leading to a parking garage at Caesars Palace.
"Blows were landed; one guy was knocked to the floor," Denby said. That man then "got into the elevator, went upstairs and got a firearm."

The man went back down in the elevator and opened fire as he stepped out, Denby said. He hit one man in the leg and another in the arm.
Denby said the dispute was between two groups of people, and police were investigating whether it was gang-related.
Caesars spokesman Ken Langdon did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
The shooting was the second in a Las Vegas Strip casino in the past month. A man police described as emotionally troubled opened fire July 6 inside the New York-New York casino, wounding four people.
