Your morning paper was on your doorstep? This sucks it is raining today, and I have a long driveway and there it is at the end. And what ever happened to Paper Boys on there bikes...The guy that delivers my papers looks like a Mass Murder, Drives a car that you can hear 1 mile away and has a very bad throwing arm...Sometime the paper is in the neighbors Drive and that is about 30 feet away.

I did the same, and rode my bike and made sure it was on the porch..And in the rain or the winter my Parents would drive me house to house and I would run up and put it on the doorstep

My paper route was the A.C. Boardwalk....sold the Philadelphia Daily News for 10 cents and made 3.5 cents on everyone I sold plus tips....Thought I was rich at the time..between the beach and the boardwalk I could sell over 100 per day, that's where I learned to hustle at the ripe old age of ten....

Things have changed so much now. There is no more paper boys. This is a real job for adults with cars. I delivered papers when I was going to school. Great job to make as much as possible and work very few hours.

I would pull in anywhere from 400-500 a week just delivering the county paper. There is big money in it. work maybe 2 1/2 hrs a night except on Sundays (4 hrs). The worse day is Thanksgiving fuck that was a heavy day.

I used to have a paper guy that was that way too. Drove a truck around the neighborhood with a guy sitting on the tailgate throwing papers in driveways. I used to have my bedroom right next to my garage. He would throw it and hit the garage door at 5am waking me up. When I called to complain the operator at the newspaper would notate it but nothing was ever done about it so I cancelled the paper.

Sad to say, but in today's world most parents won't let their children out on their bikes before dawn going in and out of neighborhoods. It's just not safe.
