went with these two 2-'teamers'.

kansas city under 10
st.louis runline (+135)

boston under 8.5
cleveland runline (+130)

both, obviously, bring back just about the same amount. there is some rhyme and reason as to why i linked them this way. as far as the games themselves go:

* yankees have been murdering the baseball lately. but meche/mussina should be a vegas total of 9 at most. to see a total of 10 is just too much. 'value' is such an over/mis-used term, but i think its applicable here.

* wainwright is the only guy ill trust for the cardinals right now. to see a moneyline of just about 13/10 tells you how far st.louis has fallen and how pesky washington can be. but ill trust wainwright in what ive got as a big pitching edge.

* batista seems to give the mariners good innings whenever he is matched up against an opposing ace or strong pitcher. i tend to think this one ends up with the exact same kind of score as last night.

* seeing the indians day in and out, ill go so far as to say carmona is their best pitcher. yes, better than sabathia. he doesnt quite command the same kind of inflated price yet. but he is definitely as good, and a heck of a lot more consistent. sabathia sometimes is his own worst enemy with his composure. carmona just doesnt seem to be rattled by anything. i see minnesota pounding his sinker into the turf for three hours this afternoon.
