Iceman recently commented on betting H/Ts and asked others to put forward their thoughts on it. His and others comments echoed many a post down the years on here whenever the topic surfaced, which was to keep the right side of certain key numbers both in sides and totals. One thing thats needed to be a successful Book is knowing your percentages inside out and that means knowing exactly what your letting yourself in for when you chalk up a price.
In that situation isnt the book laying a trap for our well informed punters? why otherwise would they put themselves in such a perilous position. Every thread says do this, play that, keep right side of this and that yet nobody ever posts about evaluating the actual game from a standpoint of the score. Punters appear to be obsessed with certain numbers with scant regard what its costing them while neglecting cast iron probabilities already marked for them by the Books at the start of the Game. The majority could quote you all the key numbers from here to Hell but would need at least three stabs at how many series the Team has left in the Second half, Five stabs at their scoring rate and Ten stabs at how many series from both sides will end in a field goal.
So the question is, are the Books really that stupid or is it just cool to know your key numbers.
