This is the type of season where the Vikings win more games than the expert thinks. Being a lifelong fan of the Vikes while living here in the Midwest...I have come to grips with this team on expectations. The years that you think they will be good, they arent.....and when the chips are down they suprise ya. I think they will either finish 8-8 or 9-7 .
Another Vikes fan. Negatives = unproven quarterback, mediocre and unproven receivers, new D coordinator, boneheaded coach (granted it was his 1st year and he drastically installed a new plan compared to the Tice era), need to put more pressure on the quarterback (especially true for sexy Rexy and to a lesser extent, Favre). Return of defensive end Erasmus James should help.
Positives = strong running game, Longwell is a decent kicker, weak division, good run defense.
