The free-falling Tigers look to get healthy with Tampa coming in,critical week ahead!

The line tonight seems a bit high considering just how bad Detroit is playing...The Rays pitcher Edwin jackson has had a few very solid outings on the road @ NYY and @ Cle and pitched a solid 6 innings no runs his last time out vs Toronto.

With Minnesota looking like they're about to make another 2nd half run and Cleveland right near the top, Detroit better wake up real soon or they will be 4-5 games back in both the divivion and the WC.

They have 4 with Tampa Bay and 4 with Oakland to get healthy and then their most important 2 week stretch which will make or break their season.

Oak 4 (must win series)

@NYY 4
Cle 3
NYY 4

They need to win atleast 6 of 8 vs TB and OAK, with 13 games vs NYY and CLE to follow.

For as bad as Detroit has played Cleveland has been just as bad.

From a gambling standpoint the Tigers have become a HUGE public team and are hard to find value on anymore. Kind of weird to see as a long sufffering fan but they are overpriced almost daily.

you are so right but if you bet them every game this year you would still be up +4.96 (pre Covers.com). If I had the balls/brains to fade them I would but not crossing that line as I cant get myself to root against them. The price of being a fan.

This team is in critical condition...clearly they're a totally different team with Sheffield's bat.

First they can't pitch and now they can't hit either...with NY and CLE coming soon.

Mariners need to take full advantage of the Tigers/Tribe struggles. With a win against the Orioles tonight, a sweep of Baltimore is a great start in taking control.
