The Yankees are starting to tear down your ass. What could be worse is that they are now in first place in the wild card chase!!

The pitching is starting to come around for the Yankees, and it is pretty tough to outscore them. If they could just start using Phillip Hughes out of the bullpen, then they will be strong. I DO NOT think that he is an answer for a long-term starting pitcher.

Some one wake up THE DEVIL and tell him the bad news.

By the way, has there EVER been a better hitter in the 9 hole than Melky Cabrera?? Guy hits over .300

damn if the yankees had gotten Gagne or some other killer for the 8th inning, they would be faves to win it all. when that lineup is on, no one else is better.

Rangers wanted Melky Cabrera...and Cabrera bringing a lot more energy/personality to the team...something the Yankees haven't had in years.

Def. wouldn't sacrifice him for a rent a player.

Just wait til Joba Chamberlain gets called up...he'll put Gagne to shame.

They are one good starting pitcher away I think. If Clemens can get going and they could move Hughes to the bullpen, then they could make a run.

When the Yankees play a "real" stretch, then come back and warn the Sox. IF you think they will be able to achieve any decent pitching then your out of ur mind. Even if they make the playoffs, they will have to continue to score 10+ runs a game. Keep relying on Clemens to come back. Maybe if he can actually keep his ERA under 4 and gets his "w's" slightly above his "l's" you guys would be ok... but i guess that's why he gets the big bucks

funny how I have never even seen you around here! Did you change your username?? Well you dont see many posts about the yankees from me because i am not a Yankees fan. I am just shocked at how well they are playing now.

MR SMITH, what if Boston didnt go 12-4? Then it would be real close. Everyone is making a big deal of the schedule. It is important, but it is just part of the game. Every year the yankees seem to start real slowly. I certainly wouldnt want to play in the playoffs on a 3 rotation

Hell Boston got somewhat lucky to even win 4 in a row against the Yankees to even REACH the World Series back in 2004.
