I spent a few hours in Tulsa today and Tiger was on the course at 6:30. I talked to somebody who knows, and he said Furyk is still having trouble with his back. Oklahoma has had a very mild summer, but the heat will be back this week. Temperatures around 100, with the heat index much higher. If the wind blows, hitting the right club is very very difficult. The rough isn't U.S. Open length, but is still severe. I'm going early Thursday morning, and the rest of the tourny I'll watch from my couch. It should be a very entertaining week. By the way, they fixed the #9 and # 18 greens, which were almost unplayable at 2001(U.S. Open).

Southern Hills is just awesome, one of my favorite courses. They won't set it up as tough as they did for the US Open. PGA doesn't want to see their club pros shooting 150.
