When or (IF) using Moneygram to send funds (say sending about $300); will they require the sender to show proof of ID?

I would never be sending more than $300; so I don't know if that makes a difference. (I simply feel the gov. suplied all of those companies with an alphabetical list of those that used Neteller.)

Not saying anything happens immediately--they just may start an investigation (state or federal --could care less which one)

Ok-Jman. Kinda before the beucrats had time to come up with something that they could use from Neteller and let the folks have their money back (thank God I wasn't one with funds tied up there)--but if you believe ANTHING--belive this; some branh of the gov. know EXACTLY who had Neteller accts. Not going to get in a "pissing match" about who or which branch or how -If they may be used--but BE very sure THEY KNOW!

Whoson1st- quit being so paranoid, man. If you are never going to be able to let go of your fears that the gov't is going to lock you up for betting on games, then you need to quit or move to Nevada. Show ID or don't show ID, who cares? You're not going to jail either way.

I sent $300 from a local grocery store (Shaws) this past week. Very easy, no id, no questions etc. Believe anything under $1000 is like this.

The gov couldnt give one shit if you gamble. The only reason they went after Neteller was for the $100million+ they got. If the government gave a shit about gambling, they would not have accepted nothing guilty pleas and they would not have negotiated with Neteller for cash.

If you move $100 million + then yes, the gov will want some... If you are moving $300, you could send it to every book on earth and nothing will happen.

Good grief.

Ive sent a $300 just last week. no ID, but they do ask for your name and phone # on the form.

Congrats on this big step Whos, now the hard part is going to be finding the unmarked bills to send!
