Dammit....just out of curiosity how does BB and others get these picks. Do they pay for them or do they know how to get them free from some website???

Larry Ness' Oddsmaker's Error (now 6-1 or 86% since July 18!)
My Oddsmaker's Error is on the Col Rockies at 9:05 ET. I had the Rockies last night as my Weekly Wipeout Winner and they delivered with a 6-2 win. I'm right back on them again tonight, as the linemaker is seemingly "asleep at the wheel." The Brewers were already in trouble before the team's total collapse at home on Sunday (blew 6-1 9th-inning lead in an 8-6 loss in 11 innings). Last night's loss at Coors was the team's 28th road loss in its last 41 away games. On the mound tonight is Chris Capuano. Capuano made the All Star team last year, then struggled mightily in the second half. He began this year 5-0 with a 2.31 ERA in his first seven starts (team went 7-0) but then "hit a wall!" He's 0-8 with a 6.27 ERA over his last 13 starts, with Milwaukee losing EACH game (0-13!). Any thoughts of a turnaround should be dismissed after his last two starts, as he's allowed 16 hits and nine ERs in 12.1 innings (6.57 ERA). Meanwhile, The Rockies win last night gives them a 19-5 mark in their last 24 home games, as the team has averaged 6.7 runs. Jason Hirsh (4-7, 4.91) will take the mound for Colorado. He's making his second start since a stint on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle. He gave up three runs and six hits, including two homers but matched a career high with eight strikeouts without getting a decision in the Rockies' 4-3 win in Florida last Thursday. The Rockies have now won four of his last six starts. So why did the Rockies open at only minus-$1.15? Oddsmaker's Error on the Col Rockies.

Good Luck...Larry

Larry Ness' Las Vegas Insider-MLB (24-13 or 65% since May 21!)
My Las Vegas Insider is on the Az D'backs at 9:40 ET. Little has gone right for the Pirates since the All Star break. They took a 5-1 streak into the break, upping their record to 40-48. However, they've gone a pathetic 4-16 since, including a 1-8 mark on the road. Tom Gorzelanny (9-6, 3.55) gets the start after his scheduled outing Sunday against Cincinnati was postponed due to rain. He hasn't pitched since he allowed six runs and seven hits before leaving after 2 1-3 innings because of shoulder stiffness in a 6-3 loss to the New York Mets on July 25. While Gorzelanny's W-L record looks pretty good (especially for the NL's worst team), it should be pointed out that the Pirates are 0-6 in his six starts without a decision. Also note that his road ERA (4.07) is more than a full run higher than his home ERA (3.04). While the Pirates find themselves 'buried' with the NL's worst record (44-64), the D'backs have gone 13-2 their last 15 and at 63-50, not only lead the NL West by two games but have tied the Mets as the NL's winningest team (Mets are 63-48). Micah Owings will take the mound for Arizona and while he hasn't picked up a win since June 20, he's looked much better since the break. The team has won his last three outings, including an excellent effort in his last start, allowing four hits and one ER in six innings at San Diego. The Pirates are a complete mess, while the D'backs are on a roll (also 8-2 at home since the break). Las Vegas Insider on the Az D'backs.

Good Luck...Larry
